HOME CLEANING > TRENDING

“I paid a professional cleaner $200 to tell me what was in her ‘secret’ cleaning bottle – And it saved me over $3,000 in cleaning costs.”

Most people would agree… the housing market right now is crazy.

Which meant if we wanted to buy a home, we had to look at places we normally wouldn’t even consider.

By the way, we have two children and two dogs, so finding the right place mattered more than ever.

As it turned out, one of the only places we could afford was nearly condemned.

It hadn’t been lived in for over a year, and every surface in every room was covered in what I can only describe as a sticky, brown “muck.”

The strange part?

The house was perfect, structurally sound and big enough for our growing family. It was on a great street, with an awesome back yard.

There was only one problem...

It was absolutely disgusting inside...

It hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. You could see it everywhere…

Stuck-on residue, grease, and who knows what else layered onto the surfaces. Honestly, we weren’t sure we wanted to find out.

Since the house was being sold “as is,” dozens of buyers had already passed on it.

We knew if we bought it, we were signing up for weeks of scrubbing.

Kitchen counters, sinks, cabinet doors and handles. All the surfaces we’d be touching every day.

But what really bothered us wasn’t just the mess.

It was what we’d have to use to clean it.

Bleach. Ammonia. Harsh chemical sprays in every single room...

And with a growing family, that didn’t sit right with us.

The idea of coating every surface, bench and handle in heavy-duty chemicals just to make the place livable didn’t feel like a great tradeoff.

Either that… or we’d have to pay a professional cleaner a small fortune just to make it livable.

Just for fun, we asked three different cleaning companies for a quote. They came back anywhere from $3,000 to $4,000.

Most told told us they don’t usually see places like this.

And one of the companies even refused the job.

Finally, one of the companies agreed to come out and take a look in person.

When the cleaner arrived, we asked her a lot of questions about the ingredients in the products they use and voiced my concerns over chemicals.

She paused for a second, then reached into her bag and pulled out a small orange spray bottle.

She sprayed it on a few spots around the kitchen and bathroom, especially the counters, sinks and cabinet doors.

She called it her “tester” spray.

She said if this worked, then the house was actually cleanable, without having to rely on heavy-duty chemicals everywhere.

Even though we knew we couldn’t afford her services, we followed her as she sprayed, and were amazed at what happened.

Wherever she sprayed, the muck started loosening almost immediately and wiped off clean with a rag.

I could not believe what I was seeing.

We had already tried scrubbing some of it ourselves… and it barely made a dent.

But this? It came off effortlessly.

No choking fumes. No overwhelming chemical smell. No gloves.

I asked her what it was, but she was reluctant to tell me.

She said it was something they use when clients don’t want harsh chemicals used around the home.

She obviously didn't want to tell us the exact product name...

So I took out my wallet and offered her $200 cash if she’d tell me.

And that’s when I learned about Freddie Multipurpose Cleaner.

At first, I was skeptical...

Because it worked so well, I double-checked the ingredients to make sure it wasn’t just another heavy-duty cleaner with questionable chemicals.

But what I learned was that Freddie not only looks different to most cleaners, it actually works differently to most cleaners too.

Why does it work so well?

The  Cleaner uses enzymes to break down grease, sticky spills, grime and food residue so they can be wiped away with far less effort.

It uses a dual-enzyme formula, including protease and amylase, along with surfactants and other cleaning agents designed to loosen dried, stuck-on mess.

In simple terms…

It lifts dirt, grease and residue from everyday surfaces like countertops, appliances, tables and cabinets, without leaving streaks or a cloudy film behind.

How do you use it?

What also surprised me was that it doesn’t come as a bulky, pre-mixed plastic bottle.

Instead, it comes as a reusable aluminium bottle and refill packs of concentrated dissolvable cleaning sheets.

You just fill the bottle with water, drop in one sheet, give it a quick shake, and within seconds you’ve got a full bottle of cleaner ready to use.

It also comes in two options: Golden Spritz, scented with basil and lemongrass, and a true Fragrance Free version if you prefer no added scent.

What do other people think of it?

After trying it for myself, I wanted to see whether other people were having the same experience

“I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and honestly don’t see myself going back to regular sprays. It’s really easy to mix up, and I use it on my tables, cabinets, and bathroom vanity. Everything wipes down nicely without much effort”Beth S.

“I’ve tried a lot of multi-purpose sprays, and this one genuinely surprised me. I started using it around the kitchen and it handled fingerprints, little spills, and a few older marks better than I expected. The Golden Spritz scent is nice too and not overpowering” – Emily R.

“Gave it a try because I liked the refill concept. I’ve mostly been using it on the stovetop and appliance fronts, and it cuts through light grease really well. I also like that it doesn’t have that harsh chemical smell a lot of sprays do.” – Marcus D.

“I’ve been using the Freddie spray for about two months now and it’s honestly replaced most of the cleaners under my sink. I mainly use it on my kitchen counters and dining table after meals and it also works really well on cabinets. What surprised me is it doesn’t leave that sticky feeling some sprays do.” – Lauren K.

After seeing what other customers had to say, I reached out to the company to learn more about it. He replied:

Freddie Multipurpose Cleaner was born because we wanted a cleaner without harsh chemicals that didn't compromise on cleaning power. Something that helps cut through grease and residue and doesn’t come in a single-use plastic bottle. Our dissolvable sheet format is simple to mix, easy to store, and designed to make everyday cleaning less annoying. It's already used by more than 150,000 households, and every order is backed by our 30-day money-back guarantee.”

What surfaces can you use it on?

It's designed for most everyday surfaces, including kitchen countertops, tables, cabinets, shelves, and appliances.

Kitchen Counters:

Appliances:

Cabinets:

Dining tables:

What's actually in it and what does it smell like?

Freddie uses a dual-enzyme formula with protease and amylase, along with surfactants and other cleaning agents designed to help loosen grease, sticky residue, and dried-on mess.

What I also liked is that it’s formulated without harsh chemicals like bleach, ammonia, quats, phosphates, or dyes, which made me feel a lot more comfortable using it throughout the house.

As for the scent, Freddie comes in two options. Golden Spritz has a light basil and lemongrass scent that smells fresh without being overpowering, and there’s also a true Fragrance Free option if you prefer no added scent at all.

Now, how much does it cost?

For a limited time Freddie is running a New Customer Offer on their official website.

This includes:

  • Reusable 16.9 oz aluminum spray bottle to mix and reuse again and again

  • Refill cleaning sheet pack with 3 sheets, each making a full bottle of cleaner

For most households, that works out to three months of cleaning, depending on how often you use it.

That makes it a much more cost-effective option than constantly rebuying plastic spray bottles, while also cutting down on waste.

But Is It Worth It?

Yes, absolutely. If a cleaner can help cut through grease, dried spills and everyday grime while also replacing a bunch of half-used bottles under the sink, I think it's worth trying. I value my time, and I value not having to scrub every surface twice, and Freddie Multipurpose Cleaner helped with both.

Now I can spend more time actually enjoying my home rather than constantly cleaning it.

If you're tired of using multiple sprays, dealing with streaks, or putting in too much effort for average results I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.

I can’t promise it will magically solve every mess imaginable, but based on what I saw in our home, it is absolutely worth testing for yourself.
